Fishing

I recently discovered something that I truly love doing. Whenever my dad introduced me to fishing about 3 years ago, it changed me. Now every day I wish that I would sit by the deck waiting to catch a fish. It's more than just a hobby, it has been a passion ever since. Fishing is something that I always look forward to. The moment that you arrive to the deck, you take your first step into another world, makes you forget about all the society that surrounds us.
The first time I cached a fish, it was like a spark of a new beginning. Everything started June 30, 2013 at around 7 pm. It was me and my dad, like any other father and daughter date. My dad hooked the first shrimp, as I stared with such concentration so I could hook the next one and so on. He also threw the fishing pole for me, and many more until for the 10th time I learned. We were there for about an hour just waiting for our first catch. Desperation was growing in me and I couldn't help myself but to cry. “Why doesn’t the fish like me?!” My dad had to calm me down and he told me, “Don’t worry about it, everything is going to be okay”. 10 minutes passed and I felt a slight pull on the pole. I eagerly pulled back and started to reel it in. It was the ugliest yet beautiful fish I’ve seen because it was my first fish, it was an unforgettable moment. After that day, I felt satisfaction and great relief of stress. Now that I have more responsibilities and have bills to pay, I still manage to get an hour or two of fishing every once in a while.
Every moment that I went fishing, there is always a story to tell and a memory to remember. I love the outside nature, especially the sea and seafood. I enjoy the smells that the sea brings you and the breeze of the shore it’s one of a kind. Fishing is something that makes you have quality time with your family and friends and it also makes you have flashbacks of your childhood. It gives you a scenario that gives you time to think about your present and future times. Everyone needs time to think and for me, I truly know which one has my attention. When I go alone, it makes my mind expand into different perspectives and makes my mind run into random thoughts. Whenever I said that I always look forward to fishing, was because it makes me challenge myself. Not only you have to challenge yourself when you work but when you fish, it brings you different skills and challenges every time.
